Chairman Issa of the US House Committee on Oversight and Government has expressed deep concern about the abuses and malfeasance if the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act and its associated program the National Vaccine Compensation Program. Along with 3 other Congressmen and former Congressman, he appeared at the Autism One conference in May of 2013 and expressed this when he addressed the audience.
He has openly promised victims of vaccine injury that he will hold Congressional hearings on the issue in the very important committee he chairs. It therefore came as quite a shock this week when his committee announced it was postponing the planned hearing.
Guess there is a heap of resistance in certain quarters to investigating the programs. Gee whiz, no kidding.
Did Chairman Issa expect the drug industry and Federal health officials to willingly come clean?
How many of them would want to expose the shoddy research submitted by vaccine makers to Federal health agencies to get their products approved and forced on millions? How many would want to admit this program has resulted in the epidemic of chronic illness, brain injury and developmental disabilities seen today? How many would want to admit that the program is not only harming children but also failing to compensate victims as the legislation originally intended?
We wish it were not the case but we sadly fear that it will take injury to more innocent children before more parents wake up and demand the truth and change.
Sadly, most parents have still not connected the allergies, asthma, speech delays, learning disabilities, autism, autoimmune disease and myriad other health problems so common today amongst our children to childhood vaccines.
But science shows there is a connection. All parents need to do is read the research for themselves. The truth will come out – sadly too late for millions of children.
It is high time each and everyone of us recognizes that we alone are responsible for our lives and our health. We can and must chart our own courses but first we must educate ourselves and make informed choices about what we feed our kids, how we keep them well, how we educate and raise them, and yes, what we allow to be put into their bodies.
The vaccine issue is just a microcosm of what is going on in the world today where corporate interests and groupthink have trumped morality, common sense, and individual rights.
